"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you’ve got about a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies — 'God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.'"
Thanks for everything, Mr. Vonnegut. :: +Memory :: Tell a Friend :: 1 reply :: Reply To my UW-Madison friends: you would make me so very, very, very happy if you could check the UW enrollment site periodically for an opening in Chem 327. And then enroll in it. And then let me know, and then we can coordinate on January 18 (when I can start enrolling as a special student) for you to drop the class and for me to add it at the same time. Doesn't that sound like fun??
I am officially no longer a resident of 551A Lexington. Sadness!
I officially now live with Crystal. Joy! Annie Hall (the rat) lives with us too. As does a great quantity of my material possessions. It's ... um ... "cozy". I liked watching the Lansing Lugnuts and drinking beer. Yes. Now it is time to watch Platoon. Again. Mmmm. Good night all. I'm bad at radiation. =(

When was the last time you... 1. ...went to the doctor? I got a pelvic ultrasound done when I was home for Christmas break. And oh yes, it was just as fun as it sounds. I have an ovarian cyst! 2. ...went to the dentist? In December. And they said my teeth look good, but I need to floss better in the back. And I kept up my record of never yet having a cavity. 3. ...filled your gas tank? Right after I got back to school after Christmas break. I hardly ever drive ... it's kind of sad. But happy, because I also like walking. 4. ...got enough sleep? Um ... Sunday night, maybe? Yes. I got 8 hours then, which I will not do tonight. 5. ...backed up your computer? Right before I reformatted it in October. ![]() From blue collar, small-town America to saving the galaxy from evil, Alex Rogan is a caring guy. However, his love for you may end up taking second place to his sense of duty to defense of the Star League. Who is your Sci-Fi Dream Guy? brought to you by Quizilla Now I feel like I should see this movie. This is I got Canada on the country quiz ...
I spent most of yesterday as well as this morning curling at the Great Lakes regionals in Ferndale. We lost 2 games on Saturday and won one by forfeit (thanks for not showing up, Oakland University). Today we scored fifth place by narrowly edging out the other team of our friends from MSU - it was an awesome game. We were only one point ahead with one end left and everything came down to the last two rocks and we did it!!! They gave us a 5th place pin (though it doesn't actually say "5th place" on it anywhere) and also a participation pin. They are going on my jean jacket ASAP. It was awesome. Now I just can't wait for spring break - my team and I are going to play in the Maple Syrup bonspiel that we played in (and lost miserably in) last year, in Elmira, Canada; then we're going to drive through at Niagara Falls and come down to Cornell to curl in a match against Andrew's friends' team there. And Ben's family is putting us up for the night in their house in Pennsylvania (and Ben's mom is an AWESOME cook so maybe we'll even get fed ... tee hee). My life fricking ROCKS right now. Except I'm kind of really sore, and tired, and my feet hurt, and I have homework to do. And I'm really sick of McDonald's breakfasts. But other than that. ROCK-NESS-OSITY. Yeah. Plus, my team's skip is SO hott. ;) ![]() You are spoon guy. You should have planned ahead buddy, or packed a bigger lunch. which rejected character are you? brought to you by Quizilla and I'm sore.
Curling was fun, if pathetic. We lost our first 2 games, though we played pretty well at points. The first game was especially close until the other team, from Bowling Green, got a 3-point end ... ouch. Then we "won" our third game ... since Oakland University's team never showed up. =( Anyway, we'll be back tomorrow mornin' bright and early (and with another McDonald's breakfast in our tummies ... ewww). Maybe we'll even win ... We're guaranteed at least 6th place out of 8 teams, hopefully we'll take 5th too. Whee! I ate too much pizza for lunch and now feel somewhat gassy. Hmm. I have a paper and a half to write, and I am going curling tomorrow and have two meetings and also wanted to buy a fish. HMMMM ... |
